Mrs. Bobbye Jean Hughes a long-time resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Mandeville, LA at the age of 87.  She was a long-time member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church of Bogalusa, LA.

Mrs. Bobbye is survived by her children, Rickey Holden (Cherie Bergeron) of Long Beach, MS, Gregory Holden of Livingston, MT, Kendall (Leann) Hughes of Bogalusa, LA, and Roger (Emily) Hughes of Laurel, MS; two sisters, Ernestine (Billy) Seal of Bogalusa, LA and Wilma Seal of Varnado, LA; three grandchildren, Chase (Caitlen) Holden, Andrew Holden, and Adam Holden; and also, one great grandson, Emery Holden.  She is also survived by her very special friend, Kay Arguelles of Bogalusa, LA and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Bobbye was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert Holden; her last husband, Billy Jewel Hughes; her parents, Clarence and Beulah Warner; one brother, Wilton Warner; and two sisters, Dolores Warner and Claudine Chestnut.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral from 10:00 A.M. until time for the services at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating the services.  Interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
