Bobby Joe Kennedy, age 73, passed away on July 31, 2024, at his residence in Bogalusa, LA.  He was a parts man in the automotive industry and served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  Bobby was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the American Legion Post #24.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his parents J Y Kennedy and Lolita Stogner Kennedy.

Bobby is survived by his wife Katherine "Kathy" O'Berry Kennedy of Bogalusa, LA; a son Russell (Tiffany) Kennedy of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren Kailey (Blaine Polk) Kennedy, Ruston Kennedy; 2 brothers John B. Kennedy and James O'Neal Kennedy both of Bogalusa, LA; sister in laws Shirley and Lynn; brother-in-Laws Kenneth, Walter, and Stanley; niece Laken Smith; a special niece Melissa (Gene) Magee; great niece and nephew Jenna and Nicholas Magee; numerous cousins; as well as, his special pet Henry Kennedy the Dasch hound.

A graveside service will be held Friday August 2, 2024, at Ben's Ford Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00p.m. The Rev. Lynn Martin will officiate, and Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #24.
