Betty J. Myler

August 28, 1951 – February 15, 2024

Ms. Betty J. "Suzy" Myler, age 72, a resident of Bogalusa, LA., passed away on February 15, 2024, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA surrounded by her family.

Ms. Myler is survived by her daughter Emily (Bernard) Smith of Bogalusa, LA; a sister Anita (Darryl) Jones of Varnado, LA; brother James Myler of Baton Rouge, LA; grandson Tyler (Haley) Wascom; great-grandchild Emmaline Wascom; nieces and nephews Nealy Jones and family, Holly Ard and family, Traci Hawk and family.

Suzy was adopted into her son-in-law's family.  They loved her to the fullest and helped take care of her as their own – all the extended Smith family and Bergeron family.

Suzy was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Myler and Edna Mitchell Myler; a sister Sandy Miller; a brother Elbert Myler; a sister-in-law Sue Myler; nephew Jimmy Miller; nieces Shannon Sappington and Samantha Myler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 5:00 until 9:00p.m., and will resume on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 9:00 until service time at 2:00p.m. all at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Caleb Martin and Bro. Jim Byrd will officiate the service, with interment to follow at Pounds Cemetery.
