Barbara Ann Stewart Kennedy, 78, of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 in her home.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Penny) Terrell, Todd Kennedy, James (Ivy) Kennedy; her sister, Betty Stewart Crain; her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nanny;" her sister-in-law, Ramona Kennedy of Crystal River, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mark Kennedy; her parents, Coy Stewart and Ollie Mae Wilson Stewart; and brother, DeWayne Stewart.

She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship.  She worked in the cafeterias of the Bogalusa City School System in the 1980's and at one point during that time, she served as the cafeteria manager at Bogalusa High School.  She loved to cook for her family on the weekends and looked forward to those weekly visits.  There was no doubt that she loved the Lord, her church and her family.  She spoiled her grandkids with chips, ice cream and Cokes at every visit.  You'd find her entertaining and pretending right alongside the grandchildren in whatever imaginative play or games were happening.  And no matter what, when you left her home; she always told that she loved you.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 10:00am until funeral service at 2:00pm in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA.  Rev. Larry Lassley will officiate the service with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
