Mrs. Ann L. Sanders, 98, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana (formerly of Bogalusa), died peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

Mrs. Sanders was born on August 28, 1926 in Lumberton, Mississippi. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Annunciation Catholic Church where she was active in their rosary group. She was a member of the homemakers club and enjoyed cooking, ceramics, and was known for her well fashioned holiday dinners.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Alexander Ladner and Eva Shifalo Ladner; her husband, Herbert L. Sanders, Jr.; one son, Gregory Sanders; and two sisters, JoAnn L. Edwards and Billie Cochran.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Donnie (Susan) Sanders, Rodney (Donnis) Sanders; six grandchildren, Tammy (Walt) Muller, Jeffrey (Jaby) Sanders, Michael Sanders, Adrienne Sanders, Jason (Christy) Sanders, Jeremy Sanders; seven great grandchildren, Madison Costanza, Beau Muller, Molly Muller, Alessandra Sanders, Brayden Sanders, Grayce Sanders, Jace Sanders; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sanders.

Ann was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving, beacon of light. The world is a better place because of her. She will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, memorials may be directed to Annunciation Catholic Church (517 Avenue B, Bogalusa, LA, 70427).

Services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA, 70427) on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service, Monday at the funeral home.
