Alma Jean White

January 14, 1957 – April 27, 2024

Alma Jean White a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away surrounded by her devoted family at Our Lady of Angels Hospital, Bogalusa, LA on Saturday morning at the age of 67. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Scott Williams) Byrd, and Tommie Penton; sons, Dewayne (Dannette) Penton, and Wesley (Marie Thomas) Penton; grandkids, Kendall Williams, Ashley Foster, Jacob Blake, Brandon Foster, Madison Thomas, Bridget Boyles, Jep Bonnette, Christopher Boyles, Kaylin Cutrer, Waylon Penton, Sandra Skinner, Oaklee Penton, Landon Redd, Alexis Dixon, Caitlin (Thomas Wheeler) Penton, DJ Penton, Dalton (Rachel) Castille, Triston Castille, Garron (Desiree Stewart) Castille, and Jace Burnette; great-grandkids, JJ, Hunter, Raelyn, Kayleigh, Avery, Ivy, Damien, Drake, Teagan, Lucas, Jaxon, and Leah; expecting great grandbabies, Aria, Jayden, and Braxton; brothers and sister, Herbert (Susan) Penton, Hubert "Goat" (Joi) Penton, Mable Dyson, and Maggie (Mac) McMahon. She is also survived by her special friend, Chinese Creel; special cousin, Romana Rogers; very special aunt, Nellie Gipson; lifelong devoted companion, Earl Brady; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Gladys Penton.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral home, 216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 with Rev. Kelly Penton officiating. Interment to follow in Pounds Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA.
