Allan Wayne Applewhite

October 11, 1956 – September 6, 2026

Allan W. Applewhite was born in Bogalusa, LA on October 11, 1956, went home to be with the lord on September 6, 2026 at the age of 69.

Allan worked on # 8 paper machine with the start up crew from 1991 until he retired in 2006, later he began working at Ben’s Ford Christian School and he considered that, his greatest job he every held. Allan loved the Lord and was a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, he was an avid golfer, an amazing woodworker as well as a gun enthusiast.

Allan loved is family and is survived by his wife Alecia Adams Applewhite of Bogalusa, LA; his three children Lucas (Alfredania) Applewhite of Ocean Springs, MS, Marshall (Kimberly) Applewhite of Denham Springs, LA, and Clay (Brooke) Applewhite of Bogalusa, LA; his brother Keith (Cathy) Applewhite of Denham Springs, LA, and his sister Andrea (Shay) Wilson of Bogalusa, LA; his grandchildren that he loved with all his heart Sabrina Arguello, Blaine Applewhite, Gabriel Applewhite, Allan Joseph Arguello, Brody Applewhite, Jonah Applewhite, Sophia Applewhite, Harper Applewhite, and Samuel Applewhite.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents Alton Wayne Applewhite and Linda Bankston Applewhite.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church from 2:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. and on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 until the service time of 12:00 noon. Rev. Lynn Martin, Rev. Caleb Martin, and Bro Jim Byrd will officiate the service and interment will follow at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Justin McQueen, Casey Dantin, Reginald "Bubba" Bourne, Destin Pittman, Tommy Pittman, and Mark McGehee.  Honarary pallbearers will be Billy Simmons, and Alan Fortenberry.
