Mrs. Alice Valene Desmond Smith, resident of Albany, LA, passed away on May 11, 2021 in Hammond, LA.

Mrs. Alice Smith is survived by her children, Paul Joseph "Fats" (Gloria) Smith of Independence, LA; Melissa Smith (Antonio) Gomez Resendez of Albany, LA; Rev. Robert Wayne "Bobby Sue" (Sandra) Smith Jr. of Angie, LA; and Cheryl Lynn Thompson of Albany, LA.  Also survived by her grandchildren, Victoria (Orie) Bracey; April (Dewayne) Foster; Heather (Jackson) Smith; Bryan (Kerra) Thompson; Jenifer Thompson; Isabella Gomez; Robbie Smith; Brandon Smith; Hannah Smith; Tiffany Gomez; Cristina (Jake) Vicknair; Ally Gomez; Bridgette (Robert) Alsobrooks; and Joey Smith along with her great grandchildren Paisley Thompson; Layla Thompson; Dakota Patterson; and Zander Foster. Mrs. Smith was also survived by one brother Shelby Desmond.

Mrs. Alice Smith was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wayne Smith SR., her parents Martin Richard Desmond and Anna May Murphy, and her siblings Gilbert Desmond, Joe Desmond, Ann Plescher, and Linda Desmond.  Also preceded in death by a son in law Bryan Thompson.  Also, other family member Jordan Patterson.

Graveside services with be held Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Spencer Cemetery in Enon, LA.
